THE LETTER CAMPAIGN
We invite our extended community to join in supporting Ronald Coleman Jr., affectionately known as Uncle Ronnie, as he approaches his March 2026 parole hearing in Georgia.
Ronald has been incarcerated for 26 years, serving two life sentences plus 65 years. Through this campaign, we’re gathering letters from family, friends, artists, educators, and community members who believe in his humanity, growth, and readiness to come home.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
1. WRITE A LETTER OF SUPPORT
Your letter will go to the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles as part of Ronald’s parole review.
Letters should be positive, personal, and respectful, speaking to Ronald’s transformation and the community ready to receive him. If you don’t know him personally, you can still write in solidarity, every voice helps affirm the collective belief in restoration and second chances.
Each letter should include:
Your name and relationship (family, friend, artist, educator, community member, doctor, lawyer, professor, etc.).
Why you believe Ronald deserves parole and a chance to rebuild his life.
Qualities you see or imagine in him (I.E. accountability, compassion, creativity, leadership, faith, or care for others).
Ways you can support him post incarceration.
We are specifically seeking letters from people and/or organizations in non-liberal states (preferably the South). Additionally, we are seeking letter from people in academia, the medical field, and in the legal system.
